Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as the Keoladeo Ghana  National Park/Ghana Pakshi Vihar, is one of the most popular bird   parks in the  world. The park is predominantly famous for birdlife. The sanctuary located in Mount Abu was declared as a protected area in the year 1960 and ever since then this sanctuary that is spread over the gorgeous Aravalli range of mountains has been attracting not only domestic tourists but also tourists from overseas. Mount Abu is Rajasthan's only hill station and in the days of yore it used to be the summer retreat of Rajasthan's royalty.

    Rajasthan Tourism department in recent times have been making rapid strides as far as Eco-Tourism is concerned. It was being increasingly felt that the desert destinations of Rajasthan like Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur etc. were oversold in the international tourist market. In a bid to diversify its tourism game plan, the Mount Abu sanctuary together with Mount Abu have been strategically highlighted as an irresistible Eco-Tourism circuit and needless to say, the response has been tremendous.

Ranthambore National Park :

Situated in Eastern Rajasthan, where the Aravali Hill ranges and the Vindhyan plateau meet, the Ranthambhore National Park was once   the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The rivers Chambal   in the  South and Banas in the North bound the Ranthambore National Park. Six man made lakes are the central focus of the park and many perennial streams criss-cross the entire park. The Ranthambore National   Park has internal drainage and has no link up with any river system, even   though  two rivers bound the Park in it’s north and south side. 
  
   The landscape is dotted with ancient Banyan Trees, Dhok & Pipal  trees, clusters of mango trees and crisscrossed with evergreen   belts. The terrain is made up of massive rock formations, steep scarps, perennial lakes and streams and forest suddenly opening up into arge areas of Savannah. The terrain of Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary fluctuates between impregnable forests and open bush land. The   forest is  the typically dry deciduous type, with Dhok, being the most prominent  tree.

Sariska National Park :

Sariska Tiger Reserve is well nestled in the Aravali Hills covering 800 sq km area divided into the grasslands, dry deciduous forests, sheer cliffs and rocky landscape. Whether you want to have camel safaris, go out for shopping in the surrounding places, visit medieval palaces or wildlife watching; Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is the best place for you.           
            At Nearly 90% of the area in the sanctuary is covered with dhok trees accommodating various wildlife species. A variety of other wild animals like the leopard, sambhar, chital, nilgai, four-horned antelope, wild boar, rhesus  macaque, langur, hyena and jungle cats are found in the Sariska Tiger Reserve apart from the tiger. The Sariska National Park is home to India's largest population of peafowl, and harbours quail, sand grouse, golden- backed woodpeckers and crested serpent eagles, among other species. Also the Siliserh Lake on the edge of the park has a large number of crocodiles.
